It starts off as bitumen, then goes to good gravel, average gravel, shocking gravel and then sand for a bit. We spent a solid week exploring a heap of them, and writing about those that are most enjoyable! Right at the top of Cape Leveque is Kooljaman, a popular destination for relaxing, sight seeing, fishing and 4WDing. Just beyond The Pool is Point Sir Isaac a little spur that defines Seasick Bays eastern-most projection, at the other end are the granites that buffer against the wild seas of the Bight and the Southern Ocean. If there was a better free camp in WA, Id be hard pressed to find it. It is truly amazing, and you can 4WD into a few of the surrounding areas. Both are worth a look! Once youve done this section, you get to the top of Gouley Bluff, and you can see in all directions for ages, and its pretty impressive. The location is truly stunning though! Collie has a lot of great 4WD tracks, and one of the better known places is Wellington Dam. Explore the island from north to south and head back to the mainland via the barge at Inskip Point. Further north lies a great beach that you can access via one of the many tracks on the west side of the main road.
